Weekly Recap: Fall 2018 Half Marathon Training - Week 3 (9/24-9/30)
Ugh. Yuck.
I don’t even know what to say about this past week. I don’t know if it was allergies, current events, lack of sleep, or a combination of a bunch of things, but I felt awful last week. I didn’t sleep well, I woke up every morning with sinus pressure and congestion and awful headaches, and I capped it off on Saturday by waking up to thunderstorms and stomach issues. But, the good news is, I got in 2 strength workouts and 4 runs, including a 10-miler, which wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do, but it was enough.
Workout Summary
  Monday |   Off |
  Tuesday |   Run: 6 miles   F45 |
  Wednesday |   Run: 3 miles |
  Thursday |   F45 |
  Friday |   Run: 3 miles |   Saturday |   Off |
  Sunday |   Run: 10 miles |

  4 runs/22 miles   Total workouts: 6 |
But since I don’t have a ton to say and I’m short on time, this is going to be a super short post.
The weather continues to be miserable and hot with triple digit and 90+ heat indexes. I started my long run on Sunday too late in the morning and ended up paying for it by feeling like I was baking out in the sun. But I ran 10 miles! I don’t remember the last time I ran 10 miles. It may have been almost a year ago.
One good thing outside of work and working out - I finally made some jewelry! I sketched out the design and actually made the physical product. I must do this more. Nothing beats making something with your hands (as much as I love digital work).
So, not a bad way to wrap up September. October is shaping up to being extremely busy with the holidays and my husband’s travel schedule. It has me very glad that I’ve decided not to take on additional freelance work at the moment (although I am still consulting and career coaching).
