Weekly Recap: Training Reboot Week 18 (7/23-7/29)
Whirlwind
Last week was so crazy and busy with work and freelance life that I'm not even entirely sure what happened. By the end of the day Monday, I felt like it was Friday afternoon. It was a loooooong week, people.
Workouts were what they were - I got in two F45 strength workouts (I'm lifting heavier!) and three runs in the soupy, humid air (dew points around 78) and I missed one run missed thunderstorms (again). Not much to say there. I'm just trucking along in this awful weather until real training starts in August/September(ish). (That said, I'd take heat and humidity over freezing cold any freaking day of the week.)
Workout Summary
Thankfully, at the end of my long week, I got to spend some time with friends. One of my friends from PA is in town, so we went to happy hour at Sol on Thursday and some seriously delicious cocktails (Berry Inferno Lemonade!).
And Saturday night I went out for an early birthday celebration (my birthday is next weekend) with some friends. We went to Escape Games and then went out to dinner at The Granary. And I'm happy to report that we escaped from nuclear meltdown and saved the world (with just 2 minutes to spare). Apparently, we picked the hardest room for our first escape experience, but we did it. And it was so much fun. We're going to to it again soon in a different room.
And that's it. Crazy week, keeping on. And I've got another nutty week coming up, so I'm sure it will be more of the same.
PS- You may notice things look a little different around here. I'm doing a few things to update my overall blog layout, so if you run into something funky, that's probably why. I'm working on getting it all straightened out soon!
How was your week? Have you ever done an escape room? Did you get out?
As always, I'm linking up with HoHoRuns and Taking the Long Way Home for the Weekly Wrap series.
