Weekend Inspirations

It's been quiet around this blog for the past couple weeks. I've sat down several times at my computer with blog post ideas swimming in my head only to have them get stuck somewhere between my brain and my fingertips. But this weekend, instead of worrying about what to post here, I decided to work on my personal/professional/all-about-me website. Which also had me hitting the creative wall.

And so, since I had some extra time on my hands and a dried up creative well in my head, I decided to rearrange the furniture in my studio and then play around making a few treasuries on Etsy (my first ones after spending nearly 6 years there!).

And lo and behold, an updated floor plan and those treasuries shook something loose and sent a rattle of creativity through my brain! Who knew all I needed was a theme, color palette, and a slight change of scenery, along with a reminder of who I really am and what I really love (including the color purple)?

So, here is a screenshot of what I've got so far for my website, or at least what I've got on the top half of my homepage:

My site isn't live yet and I'm filling in the rest of the content, but it's a great start. And I have these two treasuries to thank for that (click the images to visit the treasuries on Etsy):

So here's hoping my creative energy is back. And cheers to the weekend!
