Racing for the Rescues

Tomorrow's Ramblin' Rose Half Marathon marks my first big race ever and I'm Racing (it) for the Rescues! One of the things on my

35 Before 35

list is to organize a fundraiser for an arts or animal organization, so what better way than to combine my marathon running with a fundraiser for homeless pets? This race season, I'm running for Family Addition Dog Rescue of Charlotte. I even made that nifty little racing t-shirt I'm wearing in the pics to wear for my races.

And speaking of rescues, meet Autumn! She's our sweet little foster beagle from Family Addition Dog Rescue and she's heartworm positive. Donations to my fundraising will help Autumn (and other Family Addition dogs) get the care and health treatment they need to live long, happy lives in their forever homes.

I'm only $35 away from my goal for tomorrow's race. If you'd like to donate, you can visit

my fundraising page

or just use the donate widget over there on the right sidebar.
